Frederick Beer Week is almost upon us! Among many of the events going on Downtown this year, Madrones will be hosting brew-related events all week beginning Monday June 2nd! Keep reading below to see what’s on tap (literally!):
To kick us off, Monday we will be hosting a Maryland Eastern Shore Tap Take-Over with our friends at Fin City Brewing Co. and Evolution Craft Brewing. Fin City Brewing Co. has been operating out of Ocean City, MD for two years (the oldest in O.C.!). Fin City started out in a garage and has since grown to distributing their handcrafted beers across Maryland. Evolution Craft Brewing is also a young brewery, founded in 2009. The brewery operates out of Salisbury, MD and supplies the Eastern Shore with their quality beers.
Next, Tuesday will feature a Tap Takeover by DuClaw Brewery. DuClaw has supplied Bel Air and the Baltimore area with craft beers since 1996. DuClaw has always based its business around the philosophy of being “cool,” and this Tuesday, DuClaw will be bringing its “cool” to Madrones!
Wednesdy June 4th will feature another Tap Takeover, this time by DC Brau Brewing. DC Brau was founded to produce a beer that was distinctly for The District. Using their own blend of American and European brewing methods, DC Brau dedicates itself to creating a distinct array of beers that pair well with everything!
Finally, Madrones will be finishing off strong with our own “Flying Firkin Fest,” hosted by Frederick’s own Flying Dog! We will have multiple firkins at the restaurant, along with some randalls for infusions. Flying Dog will be bringing their Double Dog and Snake Dog IPAs, and the firkins will be tapped at 4:30!
