Enjoy Some Rocky Mountain Brews at the Breckenridge Brewery Tap Takeover!

Breck-Tap-TO

Can’t go skiing in Colorado this year?

Don’t worry, Madrones is bringing the taste of the western mountains to Frederick with the Breckenridge Brewery Tap Takeover on September 18th! The brewers from Breck will be bringing four quality beers to share with both craft beer enthusiasts and people just looking to try something new. What better way to get ready for fall than by taking your taste buds on one more vacation?

Breckenridge Brewery, like many great Colorado innovations, was started by a simple “snow-bum,” someone who spends as much time on the slopes as possible. However, this snow bum, Richard Squire, also had an amazing talent for brewing his own home beers. In 1990, Breckenridge Brewery was opened in the namesake town with the goal of bringing delicious craft beers and well-paired foods to the locals. The company only grew from there, transforming from a 3000 barrel per year operation to producing over 50,000 today. The Breckenridge Brewery Tap Takeover will feature four craft beers: the Autumn Ale, Regal Pilsner, Lucky U IPA, and 471 Small Batch.

The Autumn Ale is Breckenridge’s fall seasonal brew, which combines the maltiness of a lager with the crispness of an American ale. It is described as being full-bodied with a nutty/sweet middle with a warming alcohol level and notes of toasted grains.

The Regal Pilsner is a double pilsner with a distinct hoppiness and pronounced maltiness. However, despite the strong character of this beer, it remains a very drinkable brew.

The Lucky U IPA is a well-balanced IPA with the perfect amount of hoppiness. The Lucky U goes down clean and refreshing, while still retaining it’s IPA heritage.

Finally, 471 Small Batch is a limited edition double IPA that combines Pale, Munich, Carame-30, Carapils, and Torrified Wheat malts with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. Breck Brewers promise that it will be the most hoppiness you’ve ever had at one time.

Be sure to come to Madrones tomorrow to experience these excellent Colorado brews from Breckenridge Brewery! The tap takeover will begin at 6:00 PM; come thirsty!
