Dogfish Rarities Tap Take-Over April 23

Dogfish-head

Madrones is excited to announce that on April 23 Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales will be having a Tap Take-Over at Madrones! Now, Dogfish Head has wonderful beers that you’ll find on shelves throughout the year, but this event brings out the good stuff. This is a Dogfish Head Rarities Tap Take-Over, where you’ll find the small batches, occasionals, and even brews that have been on hiatus. Come out to Madrones to try 120 Minute IPA, Olde School, Raison d’Extra and Beer Thousand. We’ll also be having glassware giveaways, and it should be a great evening all around.

Below is an overview of the brews that will be available on April 23’s Dogfish Head Rarities Tap Take-Over:

  • 120 Minute –  120 Minute IPA is an Occasional Rarity that’s coming out to play for our Tap Take-Over. Go easy on this one, folks. With an ABV between 15 and 20%, this isn’t your average bring. Made with high-alpha American Homes, this beer is the product of months of careful and precise artistry. This is a beer that’s verging on the edge of whisky in taste.
  • Olde SchoolOlde School is a Barleywine and another Occasional Rarity from Dogfish Head. It’s fermented with dates and figs, Olde School Barleywine has a unique taste you won’t soon forget. This beer is usually made available in the fall, but we didn’t want you to miss out on this experience.
  • Raison d’ExtraRaison d’Extra has actually been on hiatus for a while, but we’re bringing it back for you to try! This beer is described as being made with “an obscene amount of malt, brown sugar and raisins” and homes in with a whopping 15-18% ABV. Unlike a lot of beers, this baby is a perfect candidate for aging! If you happen upon a bottle or two after sampling at Madrones, drink one and save the other for a while. If you don’t have the patience for that, it’s wonderful as is.
  • Beer ThousandBeer Thousand is our final Occasional Rarity, and be assured that last it is certainly not least.  This is a special release, with only 1,000 cases being released to the public. This is an imperial lager, brewed with 10 grains and 10 varieties of hops. This one is not to be missed.

We’re pretty excited for this event, and we hope you’ll be able to join us. We’ll see you at Madrones!
