Savory Spring Specials at Madrones!

By Maryland standards, it appears that spring is here to stay! Between shoveling snow and walking around Baker Park in shorts and a t-shirt, make sure that you stop in to Madrones to try our exciting April Specials. Spring is the perfect time of year to explore the savory flavors emerging at the tail end of winter. We’ll start with deep, earthy flavors in our entrée special and then brighten your pallet with a springy cocktail. Our wine specials pair perfectly with many options on our menu and will round out your experience.

Featured Entrée

Hickory Grilled Beef Filet Mignon Medallions
Mushrooms and potatoes invoke the rich, earthy flavors that are so popular in spring. Our entrée special is a Hickory Grilled Filet Mignon served over sautéed garlic, green spring spinach, corn, button mushrooms and savory garlic mashed potatoes. We finish it all off with a spicy butter sauce that ties the flavors in nicely. This can all be yours for $20.80.

Featured Cocktails

Old Fashioned Favorite: Rémy Sidecar
A splash of lemon is just the thing to get you in the mood for spring sunshine. Our first cocktail special is the classic Rémy Sidecar. We keep it simple with Rémy Martin Cognac and Cointreau. We’ll let these flavors speak for themselves. Try our Rémy Sidebar for just $9.

Spring Cocktail: Bacardi Mango Storm
While earthly flavors are absolutely essential to spring, let’s not forget that eventually we’re going to get into warm weather. For our second Featured Cocktail is a Bacardi Mango Storm. We combine Bacardi Mango Fusion Rum (say that 10 times fast) with the cool spice of ginger beer and top the whole thing off with Angostura Bitters. There’s still that coolness appropriate for spring, but the rum will have you ready for summer. Try the Bacardi Mango Storm for $8.

Featured Wines

Santa Ema Carmener
Our first Featured Wine comes to us from Chile. This wine has a rich, deep, flavorful profile that pairs perfectly with the Hickory Grilled entrée special. Flavor nuances include a variety of berries and a pleasant surprise in the bell pepper notes. This wine has a pleasant, mild flavor and is a nice introduction to Chilean wines.

Bodega Norton Torrontes
A mild though distinctive flavor, Torrontes is known as the “Argentinian white wine” and is a quintessential Argentinian flavor. Pair this wine with our Tiger Shrimp appetizer or our famous Double Cut Mongolian Pork Chop.

You can try the Santa Ema Carmener for $9 a glass or $31 for a bottle. The Bodega Norton Torrontes is $11 a glass or $38 a bottle. Come out to Madrones on Wednesdays for half price Featured Wine by the Bottle! It doesn’t get much better than that.

We can’t wait to see you at Madrones! Come out and try our Savory Spring Specials now through the end of April.
