March’s Southern Specials at Madrones

Madrones March Specials

Bourbon Street Chicken

Now that Fat Tuesday is old news in Louisiana, Madri Gras has paraded its way up to Madrones and we’re serving it up as our March entrée special.  Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler with our “Bourbon Street” Chicken. Spice it up with our blackened, spice rubbed chicken, served over sautéed garlic, spinach, button mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes. We finish the whole thing off with crispy, fresh basil and a silky lemon butter sauce. Try this special for just 17.25.

Cocktail Special

More southern specialties come your way with March’s cocktail special: the classic Bourbon Old Fashioned. Considered a fundamental cocktail, developed in the 19th century and given its name in 1880. This timeless special is made with Makers Mark Bourbon, Angostura bitters, orange and cherries and topped off with a splash of soda. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a true classic. It’s yours for 8.00.

Featured Wine

This month’s featured wines go from tropical and light to dark and moody. First, the Kendall Jackson Chardonnay “Grand Reserve” serves pours decadently tropical notes cut with a well-integrated acidity and finesse. This wine pairs well with fish or chicken dishes, or stands alone as a perfect before-dinner sipping wine.

Moving to a deep merlot, the Benziger is combines the rich flavors of black rasberry, ripe plum and anise.  Try this wine with our Grilled Portobellos and Warm Goat Cheese or The Chocolate Legend.

From all of us at Madrones, thank you for being wonderful patrons and we’ll look forward to serving you soon.
